PT Pertamina was established on December 10, 1957 under the name PT Permina beginning. In 1961 the company changed its name to PN Permina and after the merger with PN Pertamindi in 1968 its name changed to PN Pertamina. PT Pertamina (Persero) was established based on Notarial Deed Lenny Janis Ishak, SH. 20dated 17 September 2003, and approved by the Minister of Justice& Human Rights in its Decision Letter. C-24 025 HT.01.01 onOctober 9, 2003. Establishment of the Company was conductedpursuant to the provisions contained in Law No. 1 of 1995 regarding Limited Liability Company, Government Regulation. 12 of 1998 concerning Limited Liability Company (Limited), and Government Regulation. 45 of 2001 on Amendment of Government Regulation no. 12 1998 and the transition is based on PP No.31 of 2003 "Onthe alienation of mining oil and gas state (Pertamina) to corporateliability.
The term is still used after Pertamina changed its legal status to PT Pertamina (Persero) on September 17, 2003, based on the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 year 2001 on 23 November2001 on Oil and Gas. Corresponding deed of establishment, thepurpose of the Corporation is to conduct business in the oil and gas, both at home and abroad as well as other related business activities or support business activities in the oil and gas.
